Description
My iPhone lock screen and home screen as of December 5, 2010.
Starting with this deviation I'm combining both the lock screen and the home screen, whether the wallpapers are the same or are different. It's to save many resources: typing, clicking, reading, and of course, bandwidth
I got bored and wanted some change so I took 3 hours of Photoshop CS4 and put this together. It's unified across my desktop PC, MacBook, iPhone and iPod touch. I think I did a pretty decent job at rendering those crystals — they were otherwise a pain to get right, particularly the shines! I don't know what that tubular/venular web that holds these crystals together is made of, though, but somehow it glows...
The resolution of my previous wallpapers has been 1920 by 1200. This wallpaper starts off at a massive 2560 by 1600, as wide as the screen of a 27" iMac across! For iPhone and iPod touch, it's cropped and slightly tweaked for 640 by 960, perfect for the high-resolution Retina display.
No changes to my main home screen icons, except the updated Twitter and Dayta icons, and the introduction of Spring and Kik (neither of which I haven't really found a use for...) to my Social folder.
